30th Anniversary Season Celebration!

“Peeling back the layers of Lovett’s vibrant career, it’s easy to see why he’s remained a cherished act in the realms of Americana, country, and folk music since he first emerged on the national scene.” – Rolling Stone

A singer, composer, and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel, and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers. His rich and eclectic works are some of the most beloved of any artist working today.

No matter the setting, Lovett’s live performances display not only the breadth of this Texas legend’s deep talents but also the diversity of his influence, making him one of the most compelling and captivating musicians in popular music. Home—both as a physical space and a metaphorical concept—plays formidably into Lovett’s new album 12th of June, his first recording in a decade, which tells the stories of specific people in specific places, some of whom are operating on a different plane. While he’s sung about cowboys and creeps, bird-snarfing preachers, and the guy who reads a newspaper over your shoulder, a sense of place is as important to his songs as the people who populate them.

Since his self-titled debut in 1986, Lovett has evolved into one of music’s most vibrant and iconic performers. Among his many accolades, Lovett is a four-time Grammy Award winner, received the Americana Music Association’s inaugural Trailblazer Award, and was named Texas State Musician.
