GPAC Youth Symphony Program—Spring Concert

GYSP will celebrate its 10 year anniversary with a spring concert featuring students from the Mozart String Ensemble, Mendelssohn String Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and GPAC Youth Symphony Orchestra. Following last semester’s theme of “Reflection,” this concert will center around the theme of “Imagination,” where we will take time to look ahead and wonder where our new legacy will lead us.  In addition to a balance of historical (von Suppe’s "Light Calvary Overture") and contemporary (Burns’ “Wonder”) works, this concert will also feature the winner of the GPAC Youth Symphony Concerto Competition, Noah Shin, who will perform Vittorio Monti’s “Csardas” for marimba and orchestra.  A cookie and punch reception will follow the concert.
